Parking: There will be parking available in a field next door to the site. As the field has been hired for this purpose there will be a £10 charge per car. Tickets for parking can be collected at the festival entrance. Camper vans can be parked in this field. We must urge those coming by car not to drive beyond this field so as to avoid causing congestion near the Laughton Lodge homes and buildings. The Car park will be sign posed and attended by a volunteer.
Shuttle: At present we are finalising the provision of a shuttle bus from Lewes station on the opening Friday of the festival. The shuttle bus will be collecting at specific train arrival times from late morning to mid afternoon. It is worth mentioning that, for the cyclists amongst us, it is a very pleasant 30 minutes bike ride from Lewes to Laughton Lodge.
Camping: There is a specially allocated field for camping (the site of the Tribal Gathering festival.) It is accessible from the car park and you will be directed here by a volunteer. Fresh water is available here. It is a short 2 minute walk to the screening and workshop rooms from the camping site.
Shepherds Hut: There is also a ‘plankbridge’ shepherds hut that sleeps 2 people in a double bed. It is insulated with oak floors. Other features include a small cool box, lights and power, a composting loo and shower. It is 100 yards from Laughton Lodge. If you are interested in hiring this cute hut please contact us. First come, first served.
Local BnB's: We would advise people to visit the websites listed below in their search for nearby BnB’s. Villages outside Lewes itself and closer to Laughton Lodge include Laughton, Ringmer and Shortgate. The region is generally referred to as East Sussex.
Bar: We will be running a cheap bar. Beer and Wine.
Food: This year, Harriet, a Laughton Lodge resident and caterer, will be making freshly cooked and reasonably priced Middle Eastern and Asian vegetarian food. This will be served at breakfast, lunch and dinner times. Hot drinks and snacks will be available all day.
