With Dir. Penny Woolcock
1400 - 1600 Saturday 30th July 2016
In Wet House (2002), Penny films at a shelter for homeless alcoholics capturing the day to day living of those stuck in the depth of this terrible addiction.
An incredibly hard to watch film, where there isn't the slightest hint of rehabilitation or pretense about these down and out human beings. In the words of a review at the time, 'watching this film makes the viewer feel more like they are watching X rated misery porn.
Penny will talk about the experience of making the film, and how the film was received then and now.
