This workshop explores the some of the audio techniques used in the making of the Apple series The Enfield Poltergeist, which started from 200 hours of tape recordings made in a house thought to be haunted. The aim was to explore how we come to believe in something – especially something at the limits of our perception, existing as much in the world of mind as of matter.
The workshop will show clips of the series, talk about the scripting and devising process using the audio, working with lipsync in performance and the approach to the sound design and mix.
